          Woman's Death Unavoidable Jury Finds
          Motorist Cleared of Blame in Death of Mrs. Lamb At San Carlos
          Mrs. Nancy Lamb of San Carlos came to her death as a result of a skull fracture received in an 'unavoidable accident" it was found by a coroner's jury at Redwood City today.
          Mrs. Lamb died on the way to Mills Memorial hospital yesterday, after having been run down by an automobile driven by Carl E. McClellan, painter of San Jose. The accident happened on the state highway at San Carlos.
          The deceased was the mother of Mrs. Clarence Presler of San Carlos and had made her home there but a short time. Arrangements are being made for a funeral tomorrow afternoon from the chapel of James Crowe Company, Redwood City. Interment will be in Union Cemetery, Redwood City.

            John Lamont, one of the old-timers of this county, committed suicide by cutting his throat last Saturday evening at San Mateo. The deed was done by means of a common pocket knife and took place in a room at Sheean's place. For some time past the deceased has been doctoring to cure himself of a hurt received at Baden. It seems that he was holding a drill there while a companion was striking it with a sledge. In some way the striker missed the drill and struck Lamont a heavy blow on the knee, thereby causing him all the trouble which finally ended in suicide. On Saturday evening he told his friends that he was dying by inches and did not care to live longer.

                  Cornelia Lang Passes Today At Age 80
                  Following a period of declining health, Mrs. Cornelia J. Lang, widow of the late William C. Lang, passed away early this morning at her home, 242 Atherton avenue, Atherton, where she had resided for the past seven years. She was a native of Racine, Wis., and was 80 years of age.
                  She is survived by a son, Charles W. Lang of Atherton, and a daughter, Mrs. Eleanor Ostlin of Brooklyn, N. Y.
                  Funeral services will be conducted tomorrow at 1 p.m. by the Rev. Amos M. Cottingham, pastor of the First Methodist Episcopal Church, at the Layng and Tinney Funeral Home.
