    Mrs. Catherine Cicala, wife of Ignazio Cicala, employed at the plant of the West Shore Salt Company in this city, passed away at her home, 1015 Hilton street, Friday night. Death was due to pneumonia contracted from Spanish influenza.
    Mrs. Cicala was a native of Italy and was 39 years of age. She had lived in Redwood City about 9 years. In addition to the husband, two children survive - John, aged 9, and Rose, aged 6.
    The funeral was held Monday morning from the parlors of the Redwood City Undertaking Company, the Interment being in Union Cemetery.

          DEATH DUE TO HAY HOOK INVESTIGATED
          In inquest into the death of John C. Clarey, 48, a ranch hand employeed on the Wingford ranch near Woodside, who died yesterday from wounds in the chest from a pitchfork prong, was held by Dr. W. A. Brooke, county cornorer today.
          James Stonger, 430 Kipling avenue, Palo Alto, was the first to be called before the cornorer's jury. He said he was a brother-in-law of the dead man, but that he had never seen him before. He explained that his wife and her brother were esparated when but three years of age, and she had not seen him since that time. He also said that he believed the man's true name was Ira J. Barbar.
