Dahlgren - In this city, April 17, 1918, Daniel Dahlgren, husband of the late Marie Dahlgren and loving father of Mrs. Lillie Dahlgren Nystrom and the late Arthur Dahlgren, and stepfather of the late Onnie Nordstrom, a native of Oland, Sweden, aged 64 years.
Friends and acquaintances are respectfully invited to attend the funeral service today (Sunday), April 21, at 1 p.m., at Anderson's.

    DEATH OF HERBERT DALEY
    One of the saddest and most sudden deaths was that of Herbert Daley last Wednesday morning. He left Reynold's stable where he was employed for his home on Emerson street Tuesday night about 10 o'clock and about 11 the doctor was called. As a result of the examination the trouble was pronounced to be general peritonitis, which carried him away.
    Abram James Herbert Daly was born in Clifton, Gloucester County, New Brunswick, Canada, September 25, 1860. In 1879 he came to the United States, direct to California. He was for a number of years superintendent of the Hastings Banking property at Lakeport, Lake county, Cal. While there he married and 2-years later buried his first wife. Later he was in the employ of the California Electric Light Co. in San Francisco, leaving this place to engage in the hop business in Mendocino Co. Here he married again. From Mendocino Co. he came to Palo Alto in 1892 and has since resided here.
    He leaves a wife and a little daughter seven years old, besides a mother and brother in Canada, John B. Galvin Daley here.
    The funeral was from his late residence yesterday and conducted by Rev. J. W. Graybill. Mrs. S. C. Gibson and Misses Agnes Ritchie, Lizzie McLachlan and Georgia Ramsay sang appropriately during the services at the house and at the grave in Union Cemetery at Redwood City. The pall bearers were F. W. Sherman, R. F. Leake, F. C. Doty, W. S. Slade, G. M. Williams, Joseph Larkin.
    A large circle of friends mourn his death and extend to the bereaved wife, daughter and relatives the kindest sympathy in their hour of sorrow.

        Died at German Hospital
        Con S. Dalve, the well known hotel man of Woodside, who was removed to the German hospital for treatment two months ago, breathed his last Wednesday night. Deceased had a complication of diseases and was in precarious on reaching the hospital, but the physicians expressed hope of pulling him through. Mr. Dalve came to this country when quite a young man and engaged in various pursuits, locating in Woodside in 1890. He was a prominent Odd Fellow and Red Man.

        Deceased leaves a wife and seven children He was buried Sunday at Union Cemetery, the interment being conducted by Bay View Lodge of Odd Fellows, services having been previously held at the Congregational Church by Rev. T. H. Marr.
