Obituary

On Tuesday morning, Mrs. Botsch arose, in her usual health, but while in an act of lighting a fire, was stricken with heart failure. Before Dr. Ross, who lives near by was summonded, could arrive on the scene, the good lady had ceased to breath. Deceased was the wife of Fred Botsch, one of our oldest citizens, and had lived here nearly fourty years, where she was universally esteemed. She was a native of Germany, aged 62 years. In addition to a sorrowing husband, two sons, George A. Botsch, who lives here, and Fred A. Botsch, cashier of the Hotel de Monte, at Monterey, survive her. Interment will take place in Union Cemetery.
