It is often said a visit to Union Cemetery is one of the most interesting experiences in Redwood City. The Historic Union Cemetery Association has created a guide for touring the cemetery. See more about TOURS below.
We realize not everyone can take advantage of our monthly tours where participants learn about the history of the cemetery, its inhabitants and Redwood City itself.
The Historic Union Cemetery tour contains has 13 stops and is guided by some of the most knowledgeable residents of Redwood City and members of HUCA.
Take a leisurely stroll and learn about the cemetery before it was a cemetery, the stories of the many families buried here and the many interesting ways folks celebrated death during the Victorian era.
The individuals interred here comprise 13 nationalities, 60 countries and ages from 4 months to 100 years.
