MRS. M. P. BEESON, PIONEER RESIDENT PASSES AWAY
Mrs. Mehetable P. Beeson, a resident of this city for over sixty years, passed away at her home on Buckeye street last Saturday.
Mrs. Beeson was born in Boston, Mass., 79 years ago. She made the perilious trip across the plains in a bull team, arriving in San Francisco, February 1, 1852. She came to this city shortly after her arrival in California and has made her home here since. She was the wife of the late Edward M. Beeson, a pioneer wheelwright of this city, who died in 1905. The deceased is survived by two sons and two daughters - Albert, Will, Edward and Ella Beeson, and Mrs. George Allen, besides a number of grandchildren and great grandchildren.
The funeral took place Monday afternoon from her late residence, Rev. M. B. Young of the Methodist church coducting the services. The interment was in Union Cemetery.
