Obituary
Mr. and Mrs. P. H. McEvoy of Menlo Park received the sad intelligence Monday afternoon of the death of their elder son, Henry McEvoy, at Butte, Montana. The news of the passing was a severe shock to the parents, as well as to the many friends of the young man in this vicinity. It was only a few weeks ago that the parents had a letter from the son, in which he stated he was enjoying the best of health. From the meager information received, death resulted from an attack of influenza.
McEvoy had been in Montana since last April. He went there with Parker Townsend of this city for the purpose of taking up a homestead on goverment land. The last few months they had been working on a ranch. Parker was also taken down with the dread malady, but according to word received here yesterday is on the road to recovery. The body of Henry McEvoy is being shipped to the James Crowe Undertaking parlors in this city. The funeral will be announded later.
