J. M. Winchester, Former Teacher Dies of Injuries
J. M. Winchester, 78-year-old former Half Moon Bay school teacher, who incurred head injuries after suffering a stroke on a courthouse driveway, died at 4 p.m. yesterday at Community Hospital from his injuries.
Winchester, who lived at the Hotel de Redwood, had just emerged from the relief office on the courthouse grounds at 10:55 a.m. when he was stricken. He fell to the pavement, striking his head.
Rushed to the hospital, the aged man never regained consciousness.
Funeral arrangements, which will be in charge of Parmalee and Phillips (James Crowe Company) are being held up pending outcome of efforts to locate relatives of Winchester.
