DEATH CLAIMS LIFE OF PIONEER COUNTY FAMILY
John F. Boos, a well-known resident of this city and a member of the pioneer Boos family of San Mateo county, passed away at his home, 130 Jackson St. Sunday, following a long illness. The deceased was employed many years at the Frank tannery. He was born in Portola and was 54 years of age. He is survived by a wife, Julia Boos, three sons and one daughter - John B., George A., and Herman Boos and Mrs. Annie Conklin; and the following brothers and sisters: Frank, Morris, Joseph, Simon and Victor Boos and Mrs. Lizzie Henry. The two eldest sons are in the United States service, John being at Camp Lewis and George on board the U. S. S. Pittsburg.
The funeral was held yesterday afternoon from the chapel of the James Crowe Company on Webster street. Interment was in Union Cemetery.
